The exclusion list holds the people Overloop must never contact. Excluded prospects stay in your database with their history, and the list is shared by your whole account.
What can be on the list
Email address: excludes the prospect with that email address.
LinkedIn profile: excludes the prospect with that LinkedIn profile.
Domain: excludes every prospect whose email address is at that domain, for example everyone at company.com, including prospects you add later.
Campaigns never send an excluded prospect an email, a LinkedIn invitation or a LinkedIn message. A prospect who is in a campaign is removed from it.
Imports and sourcings skip people whose email address or domain is on the list.
Excluding prospects from the Prospects page
One prospect: open the three-dot menu of the row or of the prospect panel, and choose Add to exclusion list.
Several prospects: select them and choose Manage [number] prospects > Add to exclusion list.
The prospect's email address and LinkedIn profile go on the list. Their domain does not, so other people at the same company can still be contacted.
How excluded prospects look
In the table: the name is struck through, with a ban icon next to it. Hover the icon to read Excluded, or Opted-out when the prospect unsubscribed themselves.
In the prospect panel: the name is struck through, with a red Excluded or Opted-out label next to it.
To see only excluded prospects, click Add filter and choose On exclusion list.
Removing prospects from the list
One prospect: open the row menu or the prospect panel menu and choose Remove from exclusion list.
Several prospects: select them and choose Manage [number] prospects > Remove from exclusion list.
After you confirm, campaigns can contact them again. They are not put back in the campaigns they were removed from.
Two kinds of exclusion cannot be removed this way:
They unsubscribed themselves: they stay on the list for good.
Their email domain is excluded: removing the domain in Settings lifts the exclusion for everyone at that domain.
Managing the list in Settings
Go to Settings > Exclusion list.
Add Items: paste email addresses, domains (the part after the @, without www.) or LinkedIn profile URLs, one per line, and click Add to Exclusion List.
Remove Items: in the menu next to Add Items, paste the email addresses or domains to remove, one per line.
Export: in the same menu, starts an export of the list. You get an email when the file is ready, and you can download it from Settings > Exports.
Remove one entry: open the three-dot menu at the end of its row and choose Remove.
Note: Only admins can add or remove entries on this page.
What is added automatically
Unsubscribes: when a prospect clicks the unsubscribe link in one of your emails and confirms, their email address is added with the reason Opted-out.
Hard bounces: when an email to a prospect hard bounces, their email address is added.
Deleted prospects: when you delete prospects and tick Also add them to the exclusion list, their email address and LinkedIn profile are added. More about deleting prospects here.
