About Prospects

What a prospect is in Overloop, what the Prospects page shows, and how to add and delete prospects.

Written by Anna Ralon

Prospects are the people you want to reach with Overloop. All prospects of your account are listed on the Prospects page, and every member of your account sees the same ones.

What you see on the Prospects page

The page is a table with one row per prospect. Click a row to open the prospect panel on the right.

The Prospects page

Above the table, from left to right

  • Search icon: opens a search box that finds prospects by name, email address, job title, organization, phone number or LinkedIn URL.

  • Columns icon: shows, hides and reorders columns. Your layout is saved for you only.

  • All prospects: lists your saved filters. When one is applied, the button shows its name instead.

  • Tags: filters the table by tag.

  • Add filter: adds a condition to filter the table.

Searching, filtering, saved filters and tags are explained in Managing Prospects.

At the top right

  • Sourcings: opens the list of your sourcings.

  • Add prospects: adds new prospects.

In the table

  • Email: a mark next to the address tells whether it is verified. Hover it to read Verified email or Unverified email.

  • Struck-through name: the prospect is on the exclusion list. Hover the icon next to the name to read Excluded, or Opted-out when they unsubscribed themselves. See Managing the Exclusion List.

Ways to add prospects

Click Add prospects and choose one of:

  • Create new sourcing: find prospects in the Overloop database, using filters. See Sourcing Prospects.

  • Import from LinkedIn: save prospects from LinkedIn with the Overloop Chrome extension.

  • Import new file: upload a CSV or Excel (.xlsx) file. See Importing Prospects.

Deleting prospects

  • One prospect: open the row menu or the prospect panel menu and choose Delete.

  • Several prospects: select them and choose Manage [number] prospects > Delete.

Deleting cannot be undone:

  • Their messages and replies are deleted too.

  • They are removed from every campaign they are in.

  • Campaign statistics already recorded are kept.

To make sure they are never contacted again, tick Also add them to the exclusion list. Their email address and LinkedIn profile go on the exclusion list, so they stay excluded if a future import brings them back with the same email address or LinkedIn profile.

Delete prospect confirmation dialog

Note: Every member of your account can delete prospects by default. An admin can switch this off for a member with the User role: in Settings > Team Members, open the member's Actions menu, choose Edit, then Permissions, and switch off Can delete prospects and organizations.
