LinkedIn Actions Explained

Written by Ivory Gapas

Overloop supports several LinkedIn actions that can be used in your campaigns. Understanding how these actions work can help you build more effective outreach sequences.

To add a LinkedIn action, click the "+" button between sequence steps and select one of the available LinkedIn actions.

LinkedIn Actions

  • LinkedIn Profile View

This action visits a prospect's LinkedIn profile to increase visibility and warm up interactions before sending a connection request or message.

  • LinkedIn Connection Request

This action sends a connection request to the prospect. Once accepted, the prospect becomes a 1st-degree connection and can receive LinkedIn messages.

  • LinkedIn Message

LinkedIn can only send messages to 1st-degree connections. It does not support the sending of InMails (available with Premium LinkedIn accounts).

Therefore, in a campaign sequence, you should always have a LinkedIn Connection Request step before attempting to send a message.

  • Check Connection on LinkedIn

This condition checks whether a prospect is already a 1st-degree connection. You can use it to create different paths in your sequence.

For example, if the prospect is already connected, you can send a message directly. If not, you can first send a connection request.

Example Sequence:

A typical LinkedIn sequence may look like:

  1. Visit Profile

  2. Connection Request

  3. Delay

  4. Check Connection on LinkedIn

  5. LinkedIn Message
