You can now A/B test emails, LinkedIn connection request notes, and LinkedIn messages. This allows you to learn what works best for each ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) and optimize your outreach campaigns.

Which Blocks Support A/B Testing

A/B testing is available for the following blocks:

  • Emails – Test different email variations using AI or manual writing.

  • LinkedIn Connection Request Notes – Test different connection request messages.

  • LinkedIn Messages – Test message variations using AI or manual writing, similar to email steps.

Setting Up A/B Tests

A. For Emails:

  • AI-generated: Choose a subject line style and email structure provided by Overloop.

  • Manual: You can create your own subject line, use your own template, and include custom variables as needed.

B. For LinkedIn Connection Request Notes – You can manually write different connection request messages to A/B test.

C. For LinkedIn Messages:

  • AI-generated: Choose a LinkedIn follow-up style and let Overloop AI generate the message.

  • Manual: You can write your own message or use your own templates.

Viewing A/B Test Results

Once your campaign is live, you can monitor the performance of each variation in the Campaign Dashboard. Metrics tracked include:

  • Opted out – Number of prospects who opted out after receiving the message

  • Opened – How many prospects opened the email or LinkedIn message

  • Clicked – Number of link clicks per variation

  • Visited page – Number of prospects who visited your linked pages

  • Replies – Responses categorized as: Positive, Neutral, and Negative

The dashboard highlights the winning variation, making it easy to apply insights to the rest of your campaign or future campaigns.

Note: You can also refer to the How to Track My Outreach Results article for more details on step-level performance reporting.
