Sending Limits for Email ("Smart Limit")

Smart Limits are here to keep your email accounts safe. They define your daily sending limits and gradually adjust over time, so you can scale outreach without risking deliverability or account restrictions.

How Email Smart Limits Work

  • Every connected email account starts at 50 emails/day.

  • The limit increases gradually over time, up to a safe maximum of 250 emails/day.

  • Smart Limits automatically pace your campaigns so you don’t exceed your daily sending cap.

What happens when you reach the limit?

If an inbox hits its daily Smart Limit:

  • Overloop stops sending emails from that inbox for the day.

  • Remaining emails stay queued.

  • Sending resumes automatically on the next sending day.

Where to check and edit your limits

You can view your daily sending limits in Settings > Email accounts. The Daily limit column gives you a quick overview for each connected email address.

To edit your Smart Limits, open the email account by either:

  • Clicking on the email address, or

  • Clicking the three dots (⋯) on the right and selecting Edit.

By default, Smart limits are enabled to help protect your deliverability. You can toggle this off to set a custom daily limit, but we generally recommend keeping Smart limits enabled to protect your domain.
