Why Are My Campaign Emails Not Sending?

When you launch a new campaign, you may notice that emails don’t send immediately. Instead, they stay in the sending queue for some time. This is expected behavior and part of how Overloop manages email deliverability.

Email Sending Rate

  • Overloop sends 1 email every 30 seconds.

  • That’s a maximum of 120 emails per hour per account.

  • If you schedule more than that (e.g., 300+ emails), it can take 2.5–3 hours or more to clear the queue.

This pacing protects your email reputation and prevents sudden spikes that could get your account flagged as spam.

How the Queue Works (FIFO)

Overloop uses a first-in, first-out (FIFO) system. Emails are sent in the order they were scheduled or became due.

For example:

  • Prospect A approved at 10:00 AM Wednesday → goes first in the queue.

  • Prospect B approved at 10:05 AM Wednesday → goes third in the queue.

  • Prospect C had their first email sent at 10:03 AM Monday with a 2-day delay before follow-up → their follow-up is due now, so they go second in the queue.

Queue Order:

  1. Prospect A

  2. Prospect C

  3. Prospect B

If your Scheduled → Emails section shows 308 emails queued, those will be sent first. Queues often occur due to Smart Limits, which pace your campaigns to stay within safe daily sending limits and avoid deliverability issues. Once the backlog clears, new campaign emails will start sending automatically.
