Credits are the currency that powers Overloop's prospecting features. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of credits, used for two things only: sourcing prospects from the database and finding email addresses. Nothing else consumes credits.
Credits included per plan
Starter: 250 credits per user / month
Growth: 500 credits per user / month
Enterprise: 1000 credits per user / month
How credits are consumed
Credits are deducted in real time, and Overloop always shows you the cost before you run an action.
1 credit for each prospect sourced from the database
1 credit for each email address successfully found and validated (whether the prospect was sourced or imported)
š” If an email hard bounces, the credit is refunded automatically.
What doesn't consume credits
Sending emails
LinkedIn touchpoints
Enrolling prospects in campaigns
Re-enrolling existing prospects in new campaigns
Contacting prospects already stored in your account
Importing your own list of prospects
Note: if you import prospects without an email address and ask Overloop to find it, each email successfully found costs 1 credit.
Controlling email search & credit use
When you source or import prospects, the "Search for prospect's email address" toggle controls whether Overloop looks for emails, and therefore how many credits you spend.
Option 1: Toggle off
Overloop doesn't search for emails. You pay 1 credit per prospect sourced, nothing more.
Option 2: Toggle on + "Create the prospect without email"
Overloop searches for the email address. If it finds one, the prospect is added with their email. If it doesn't, the prospect is still added to your account, but with no email on file, so they can only be reached through LinkedIn. Cost: 1 credit sourced, plus 1 credit only if an email is found.
Option 3: Toggle on + "Don't create the prospect"
Overloop searches for the email address. If it finds one, the prospect is added with their email and costs 2 credits (1 for sourcing, 1 for the email). If it doesn't find one, the prospect is skipped entirely, nothing is added to your account, and you're charged no credits for it.
Note: For prospects already in your account without an email, click Find email on the prospect. Each email successfully found costs 1 credit.
Where to view your credit usage
You can view your usage in either place:
Settings > Billing > Credit Usage
Click on your name in the bottom-left corner > Billing & Invoices > Credit Usage
You'll see credits used, your monthly limit, and your reset date.
FAQs
Do unused credits roll over?
No. On a monthly plan, credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and unused credits are lost. On a yearly plan, you receive all your credits at once and they expire after 12 months.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Prospect sourcing and email finding both stop. You can then:
wait for your next renewal (credits reset each cycle),
upgrade to a higher plan for more credits immediately,
or renew early to get new credits
You can do so in Settings > Billing > Subscription
