Finding Phone Numbers

Find a prospect's phone number from the Prospects Hub, for one prospect or in bulk, and filter or export by it.

Written by Anna Ralon

Overloop can look up a prospect's phone number when none is on file. You start the search from your Prospects Hub, for one prospect or for a selection. Each number found costs 5 credits. A search that finds nothing is free.

Find a phone number for one prospect

  1. Go to your Prospects Hub. The Phone column sits next to the Email column.

  2. A prospect with no number on file shows Not searched. Click Find phone.

  3. A dialog recaps the cost and your remaining credits. Click Find phone number.

  4. The search runs in the background. When a number is found, it appears in the Phone column and in the prospect's details, and 5 credits are deducted.

You can also start the search from the Phone field in the prospect's details.

Find phone numbers in bulk

  1. In your Prospects Hub, select the prospects.

  2. In the action bar, choose Find missing data and select Find missing phone number.

  3. The dialog shows how many prospects will be searched and the maximum cost for the selection. Click Find phone numbers.

Only prospects that have no number and have never been searched are included. Prospects that already have a number, or that were searched before, are skipped. Numbers appear in the table as they are found.

What it costs

  • 5 credits for each phone number found, taken from the same credits you use for sourcing and email finding. See Credit Usage.

  • Nothing when no number is found.

  • You need at least 5 credits available to start a search. In a bulk search, Overloop checks your balance before each prospect and stops when credits run out.

  • A number is paid for once. Overloop never charges again for a prospect whose number it already found, even if the field is edited later.

  • Numbers you imported, typed in or synced from your CRM stay as they are and are never charged.

When no number is found

The Phone column shows No phone number found. Hover over it to see why:

  • We couldn't find a verified phone number for this person: there is no number available for this prospect.

  • A search needs the prospect's LinkedIn profile: add the prospect's LinkedIn profile URL in their details, then search again.

  • This workspace ran out of credits before the number could be bought: add credits, then search again.

  • The lookup failed on our side: search again.

To search again, open the prospect's details and click Search again next to the Phone field.

Filter and export

Three filters in the Prospects Hub work with phone numbers:

  • Has phone number: yes or no.

  • Phone number: is, is not, contains, does not contain.

  • Phone number verified: yes for numbers found by Overloop, no for numbers you imported or typed in.

The CSV export of your prospects includes the phone number and a column that tells whether it was found by Overloop or added by you.
