If you use a Gmail or Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) address with Overloop, you may sometimes encounter errors while connecting or sending. Here’s how to troubleshoot the most common cases.

First Step: Wait & Retry

Sometimes temporary bugs may occur either on Overloop’s side or Google’s.

Before trying anything else, wait a few minutes and try again. Most of the time, that resolves the issue.

Error When Connecting a New Address

If you get an error when trying to connect your Gmail/Google Workspace address:

  1. Check the applications connected to your Google account here: Google Account Permissions

    – If there are unused apps, remove them. This helps free up connections.

  2. Sign out of Overloop and sign back in.

  3. Reconnect your email account in Overloop.

Error With an Already Connected Address

If your Gmail/Workspace address was connected but suddenly stopped working, Overloop will notify you by email.

To fix it:

  1. Remove Overloop from the authorized apps in your Google account: Google Account Permissions

  2. Disconnect your email account in Overloop.

  3. Reconnect your Gmail/Workspace address in Overloop.
